Our Meals on Wheels program delivered its first meal on July 23, 1997. We serve from 30 to 35 people in our community. This program is open to any person in our community who expresses a need for it.

We deliver meals on Wednesdays and Fridays. Our meals consist of a meat or protein dish, salad, vegetable, bread and dessert. We make sure that these are nutritious meals. We have been able to keep our costs from $1.00 to $1.75 per meal. This has been a real challenge as food prices are so high these days.

We have about 35 volunteers who either cook or deliver the meals. Drivers not only volunteer their time but their vehicles and fuel as well. This program could not function without the efforts of these wonderful people. Our volunteers not only come from Grace Church but from within the community also. A big thank you goes to them.

The Meals on Wheels program at Grace Episcopal Church is not funded by the government or any other department or agency. We depend on the financial support of individuals who donate to us and we have been blessed with great financial support.
