Lay Eucharistic ministers assist the Rector in the administration of Holy Communion at Sunday Services. They usually offer the chalice of wine to the communicants while the Rector and the acting Deacon pass out the bread. 

They wear vestments and take part in the processionals which open and close the service. They take turns according to a schedule drawn up by the Acolyte Coordinator.
